Europe closes in the green amid recovery optimism

Equities on the major European stock market indices ended the session higher on Tuesday, with the investors seemingly hopeful in regards to the economic recovery.

Spain's Economy Minister Nadia Calvino came out with the prediction that the country's economy will bounce back to where it was pre-crisis by the end of the year. Meanwhile, European Central Bank's (ECB) Vice President Luis de Guindos forecasted that the euro area's inflation will peak at approximately 3.5%.

The DAX jumped 1.43% at the close as Deutsche Borse AG soared 3.77%. The CAC 40 gained 1.5% at the same time with Teleperformance up by 3.04%. Concurrently, in London, the FTSE 100 advanced by 0.96% as Entain skyrocketed 18.04%. The euro and the pound slid versus the dollar, losing 0.07% and 0.08% and selling for 1.17172 and 1.36437, respectively.
