Europe opens higher ahead of services data

European stock markets began the trading session on Friday in the green territory as traders awaited the latest reports on the services sector performance in Germany, the Eurozone and the United Kingdom in November, as well as data on October retail sales in the euro area. Elsewhere, the European Union and the United States continued to discuss "China's actions that are of concern."

The DAX was up 0.99% at 9:03 am CET and the CAC 40 advanced 0.96% at 9:00 am as Airbus rose by 2.18% and lead the gains at both indexes at 9:03 am CET. London's FTSE 100 was 0.87% higher at 9:01 am CET with IAG, its best performer, increasing 3.01%.

The euro was flat against the dollar at 8:59 am CET, selling for 1.12921. The British pound decreased 0.17% in comparison to the greenback, changing hands for 1.32774 at the same time.
