Major European stock markets closed lower on Friday following the latest data from Eurozone, Germany, the United Kingdom. German 10-year-bond yield also reached its highest level since 2011 during the day.

The DAX closed the trading session dropping by 2% as Continental Ag O.N. decreased by 9.02%. The CAC 40 was down by 2.25%, while Renault SA slipped by 7.22%. The FTSE 100 lost 1.08%. Jd Sports Fashion PLC dropped by 6.70%.

The euro plummeted by 1.11% against the dollar, to change hands to $0.97270 at 5:32 pm CET. At the same time, the pound sterling was down by 2.88% against the American dollar, going to $1.09376.
