Friday, 16. March 2018 08:24

European stock index futures pointed to a mixed open on Friday as market watchers remained cautious ahead of the EU inflation data due for release later in the day. Meanwhile, investment incentives were subdued as traders closely watched political developments in Washington, focusing on the ongoing Mueller probe into Russia's involvement in the US presidential election. The trade war between Europe and the US also continued to loom.

The CAC 40 was expected to drop 0.15% at the open while the FTSE was seen falling 0.05%. Meanwhile, the DAX futures exchange faced "serious issues."

The euro gained 0.10% against the US dollar to sell for 1.2317 at 8:20 am CET.
