US lower premarket ahead of spending package talks

Major stocks in the United States traded lower in the premarket on Monday in anticipation of September's industrial production data.

The uncertainty on the Congress reconciliation bill continued, as Democrats reportedly considered scrapping climate policy from the reconciliation package. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said that the Democrats will consider a bill to abolish the threat of the federal debt ceiling, considering legislation "as early as this month."

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.19% at 4:33 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 declined by 0.34% at the same time. The S&P 500 lost 0.24% a minute later. The euro lost 0.11% against the dollar at 4:34 am ET, selling for $1.15865, with the pound decreasing by 0.19% to change hands for $1.37244 at the same time.
