The United States dollar pared gains versus the Japanese yen on Thursday after having climbed to a two-decade high earlier today and selling for ¥131. The change came amid reported claims by a Japanese Finance Ministry official, in which the expert allegedly described the trend as "extremely worrying," and underlined the ministry's readiness to react. The dollar soared 1.64% compared to the yen at 11:47 am CET, selling for 130.5450, after flying over 2% and changing hands at 131.0075 at one point. |
