New York Governor Andrew Cuomo unveiled on Wednesday that he won't be accepting the pay raise of $25,000 in January, 2021.

Answering questions during a press conference in Albany, New York, Cuomo invited the other officials to follow his example amid the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

"I am going to ask the commissioners, myself, the other electeds not to take a raise this year, and than I will do an EO [executive order]" to that effect," Cuomo condluded.
