Villeroy: Inflation below 2% target for 2023

Tuesday, 28. September 2021 10:59

Member of the European Central Bank (ECB) Governing Council Francois Villeroy de Galhau stated on Tuesday that having inflation below 2% is the institution's target for 2023.

The Bank of France Governor noted the changing inflation expectations are what keeps the ECB's current financial policies loose.

Earlier this month, Villeroy described the current rise in inflation as temporary, adding that the ECB will remain "vigilant" in case the increase continues and requires new measures.
