Europe opens in green on positive sentiment from Asia

Major European stocks kicked off Thursday's session with slight gains amid positive sentiment prompted by China continuing to ease COVID-19 curbs that impaired global supply chains.

However, concerns over the coming recession and the size of the European Central Bank's rate hike scheduled for next week kept lingering across the bloc. Markets also expected new comments from ECB President Christine Lagarde, as well as senior bankers Pablo Hernandez de Cos and Francois Villeroy de Galhau throughout the day.

Frankfurt's DAX rose 0.13% at the opening bell, while London's FTSE 100 grew 0.08% and the CAC 40 in Paris increased by 0.23%. The Euro Stoxx 50 climbed by 0.16%. The euro stood mostly flat against the dollar at $1.05159, while the pound sold 0.14% lower at $1.21960.
