Formula 1 extends Dutch GP deal until 2025

Formula 1 announced on Thursday that the Dutch Grand Prix will stay on the F1 calendar until 2025. The event in Zandvoort returned in 2021 having been absent since 1985 and has proved a major success by selling out all tickets.

Commenting on the decision, F1 Chief Executive Stefano Domenicali said that "the Dutch Grand Prix has quickly established itself on the calendar as a fan favorite, bringing incredible energy and a great fan experience every year." He added that there was "huge demand" and that tickets had already sold out for the August race.

Dutch driver Max Verstappen's success at the event has added to the buzz around the circuit, winning twice in front of the home crowd. Local Nyck de Vries will also take to the tracks next year, no doubt creating more attention.
