Hitachi to buy GlobalLogic for $9.6B - report

Hitachi, Ltd. will buy American software developer GlobalLogic for $9.6 billion, Nikkei reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, the Japanese company intends to acquire all GlobalLogic shares from its shareholders in July and make it a part of Hitachi Global Digital Holdings.

The current stakeholders in GlobalLogic, which was founded in 2000, are CPP Investments and Partners Group, each holding a 45% stake and the company's management with a 10% stake.
