Europe up in premarket with data in focus

Equities in Europe traded higher in the premarket on Thursday as traders focus on several data reports that will be released during the day. Those include the latest updates on factory orders in Germany, construction prices in the United Kingdom, and producer prices in the Eurozone. Earlier, French Finance and Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire said the French economy would "rebound strongly" in 2021 and promised further government's help in achieving so.

The DAX traded 0.50% higher at 8:00 am CET. At the same time, the FTSE 100 rose by 0.41%. The CAC 40 went up by 0.43%.

The euro gained 0.06% against the dollar to sell for $1.18736 at 7:58 am CET. A minute later, the pound sterling grew by 0.18% against the greenback to change hands for $1.37624.
