Europe mixed premarket with data in focus

European stocks looked for direction in Tuesday's premarket trading as investors continued to focus on the COVID-19 pandemic and awaited the release of economic data from the United Kingdom, including trade balance and GDP figures. Meanwhile, a UK study showed the British variant of the coronavirus spreads faster than other strains, but found no evidence it is more lethal than other variants.

The DAX added 0.14% at 7:28 am CET, the FTSE 100 was flat at the same time and the CAC 40 lost 0.05% at 7:19 am CET.

The euro declined 0.18% against the dollar to sell for 1.18896 at 7:30 am CET and the pound decreased 0.10% compared to the greenback to go for 1.37314 at the same time.
