Atlanta Apple employees file for union election

Apple store employees in Atlanta agreed on Wednesday to hold a union election, advocating for better salaries, cost of living adjustments, and other benefits received by Apple office workers.

Worker of the retail store, Derrick Bowles said the tech giant represents "a profoundly positive place to work," but that the company could do more to "live up to their ideals," by improving working conditions for its employees.

Over 70% of the workers have expressed interest in joining the union, and if the majority of the workers agreed, it would make Atlanta's retail store the first unionized Apple store in the US.
