Apple Inc. announced on Monday several new features for its Apple Podcast service which will become available soon for its users, together with the latest software updates for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

The most important features amongst the newly-introduced ones are tools to enable annual podcast subscriptions, the possibility of managing the podcast storage across devices, and the Apple Podcast Delegated Delivery system, which will help creators easily distribute their projects to Apple Podcasts from third-party hosting providers at no additional cost if used through Apple Podcasts Connect.

Apple announced last week that it will stop producing iPods, after more than 20 years since its introduction in 2001.
