Apple raising app store prices in some countries

Tuesday, 20. September 2022 07:06

Apple Inc. announced that it will increase the prices of its apps and in-app purchases starting as early as October 5. The changes will apply to Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, Vietnam and territories that use the euro currency.

The company informed about the changes in a note sent to developers, without offering any details as to why the price-increases are affecting the countries in question, although the changes are likely in response to the exchange rate of currencies used by those nations dropping against the US dollar.

"Your proceeds will be adjusted accordingly and will be calculated based on the tax-exclusive price," the company said.
