Apple Inc. published a report on Tuesday on total revenue received from the App Store developers in 2022, indicating that the company's growth may be slowing down. The report covers the amount of money paid to developers in 2022, arriving at $320 billion, an increase of 18.75% compared to the prior year. CNBC estimated that depending on the percentage of the cut the developers reimbursed to Apple, the tech giant is looking at revenue between $70 billion and $85 billion. The sum comes close to $60 billion the company reported in 2021. Apple underlined in the statement that developers on the App Store had "another year of record earnings," noting that the app made up "a significant portion of more than 900 million paid subscriptions across Apple services." |
