The United States Federal Reserve is looking into the Deutsche Bank AG's conduct in relation to transactions involving the Danske Bank A/S €200 billion money laundering scandal, local media reported.

The investigation, which is allegedly still in early stages, is examining if and whether the US operations of the largest German banking institution's audited the dubious fund activities in a satisfactory manner, sources close to the matter told Bloomberg.

Deutsche Bank's internal review reportedly estimated that the bank handled $150 billion of possibly suspicious flows connected to the biggest Danish lender.
