Denmark's largest lender, Danske Bank, is being sued by the company's investors for approximately $221 million, a Danish law firm revealed on Friday. The law firm Nemeth Sigetty, representing over 60 investors, stated the bank is being sued over its money-laundering scandal.

Last year, Danske was investigated by the United States Department of Justice over the alleged $200 billion worth money-laundering. The US authorities were looking into the bank's transactions after a whistleblower filed a report to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) back in 2016.

The bank traded 0.61% in the green at 02:48 pm CET on Friday.
