The United Kingdom is allowing all citizens aged 56 or older to get a coronavirus vaccine, Metro reported on Saturday. While the measure has not yet been officially announced, the website of the National Health Service (NHS) lists the updated age limit as one of the prerequisites for booking an appointment.

Earlier, UK's Health Secretary Matt Hancock stated that a million people have now received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. 21.3 million have had at least one dose, amounting to 2 in 5 adults in the country.
