Moderna biotechnology company released an official statement on Tuesday announcing that the retrieved data from globally administered vaccines suggests no "association with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) or thrombotic events", commonly known as blood clots.

The conclusion was based on safety data of the 64.5 million doses of the mRNA-1273 vaccine that were used on patients globally through March 22. FDA's Peter Marks also confirmed during a briefing that there were no reported cases of thrombosis after 180 million doses of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines were administered.

The message comes shortly after Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine was halted in the United States for claims of blood clot side-effects. Earlier, AstraZeneca also faced similar allegations in European and other world countries.
