Indianapolis shooting leaves 60 injured, 5 dead

As many as 60 people were injured and at least five died in a mass shooting at a FedEx Corporation sorting facility in Indianapolis, local law enforcement stated on Friday.

According to the early reports, at least 30 people suffered serious injuries, with 10 of them being in critical condition. The shooting suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Interstate 70 has reopened to traffic after being briefly closed in both directions to allow officers and medics to the site.

"We are aware of the tragic shooting at our FedEx Ground facility near the Indianapolis airport. Safety is our top priority, and our thoughts are with all those who are affected," the company said in a statement.
