US up premarket with Fed meeting in focus

Equities on Wall Street traded higher in the premarket session on Wednesday, as investors looked forward to what the United States Federal Reserve will say on asset purchase tapering and interest rates later in the day.

In political news, the fight over the debt limit moves onto the Senate, as the House of Representatives voted to lift the debt limit alongside a continuing resolution to fund the government until December. Lastly, in business, Adobe and FedEx unveiled their quarterly earnings reports.

The Dow Jones increased 0.48% at 4:19 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 gained 0.34% at the same time. The S&P 500 rose 0.41% a minute later. Meanwhile, the euro stood flat against the dollar trading for $1.17280 at 4:20 am ET.
