Wall Street turns positive, Dow up 150 points

After a slow start to the session, major indexes in the United States turned positive on Thursday with the Dow Jones climbing more than 150 points. Investors continued to focus on the Ukraine crisis, but also digested the Federal Reserve's first rate hike since 2020 and awaited FedEx's earnings report due after the bell.

The Dow Jones rose 0.48% or 165 points at 12:39 pm ET. The best performer was Dow Inc., whose shares gained 4.07%.

The Nasdaq 100 added 0.13% at 12:39 pm ET with CrowdStrike soaring 5.35%.

The S&P 500 was up 0.49% at 12:40 pm ET as Occidental Petroleum surged 7.91%.
