US holds live-fire drills in South Korea

The United States Army Apache attack helicopters based in South Korea held a live-fire drill with rockets and guns on Monday, for the first time since 2019.

Training continued south of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), near the border with North Korea, after it was canceled in the past three years over noise and safety issues.

The US aviation exercise was performed after it was announced last week that the country will resume its joint military drills with the South Korean army in August in order to deter the North.
