Russia's attack on Zaporizhzhia, which took place on September 30, took the lives of 31 people, according to regional governor Oleksandr Starukh.

The number has risen over the past few days as many victims succumbed to the injuries they suffered when the missile hit and, according to the official, the figure includes a police officer who worked the scene.

"That morning there were 16 rockets: 4 of which were shot down by air defense, 9 rockets hit an enterprise where no one was injured, and the last 3 hit a humanitarian convoy," Starukh said, describing the incident as a "well-planned mass murder."
