Exor NV, the Agnelli family's holding company that it uses to control and operate its businesses, including Stellantis NV, Ferrari S.p.A., and Juventus FC, announced on Tuesday that it has proposed Gianluca Ferrero as the association football club's new chairman.

Ferrero is expected to be officially voted in for the position at the shareholders' meeting scheduled for January 18, 2023. The economist has so far served as chairman and auditor in many Italian companies and is currently vice chairman of the board of directors of Banca del Piemonte.

Earlier this week, the club's entire board of directors resigned amid the allegations they falsified the information about Juventus's finances in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
