Stock markets in the United States opened higher on Wednesday, boosted by share rallies after earnings reports by Nike and FedEx. The consumer confidence and home sales data is coming up after the opening bell.

The Dow Jones added 0.91% or 300 points, as IMB Corp. added 0.48%. The Nasdaq was up by 0.49%, led by Advanced Micro Devices, which improved by 2.40%. The S&P 500 increased by 0.71% at 9:31 am ET as Nike saw its biggest gains in over a year, surging 13.62%.

The euro traded just 0.05% lower against the dollar, selling for 1.06102 at 9:32 am ET.
