German sportswear company Puma announced on Saturday that it has suspended all of its operations in Russia due to the escalation of the armed conflict in Ukraine. Puma has previously halted deliveries to the Russian market, while it has now also closed its 100 stores across the country.

Separately, Italian luxury group Prada halted work at its retail shops in Russia due to its invasion on Ukraine. "Our primary concern is for all colleagues and their families affected by the tragedy in Ukraine, and we will continue to support them," the company's statement noted.
