Uniqlo to continue business in Russia

Chairman of the Japanese clothing company Uniqlo, Tadashi Yanai, announced on Monday that there will be no halt in business activities on the territory of Russia, media channels reported.

"There should never be war. Every country should oppose it. This time all of Europe clearly opposes the war and has shown its support for Ukraine. Any attempt to divide the world will, on the contrary, strengthen unity," shared Yanai. He further added that "clothing is a necessity of life. The people of Russia have the same right to live as we do."

Earlier, many retailers, such as Zara, Puma, Heineken etc. decided to suspend their business activities in Russia, due to the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
