Due to two full-day strikes called by the Independent Flight Attendants Organization, Germany's flag carrier Lufthansa announced it would activate a special flight plan and reduce the number of scheduled flights, regretting the inconvenience and calling on around 180,000 of passengers to check the status of their flight.

On Thursday, the company said it would cancel some 700 flights, while on the second day of the strike it will scrap around 600 flights operated by Lufthansa Group.
