RWE AG said on Thursday that its revenue for the third quarter of 2021 soared 65% year on year to reach €4.8 billion.

Net income attributable to shareholders amounted to €1.4 billion, skyrocketing 131% from the same period in 2020. Basic and diluted earnings per share stood at €2.03. For the first nine months of 2021, RWE's revenue was €13.2 billion and EPS stood at €4.15.

"Despite weather-related impacts, we achieved a better result for the first three quarters than in the same period last year. That’s mainly thanks to the outstanding performance of Supply & Trading," RWE CEO Michael Mueller stated.
