Monday, 19. October 2020 20:24

Equities on Wall Street turner to losses on Monday with the Dow Jones declining more than 150 index points as investors' concerns over the resurgence in coronavirus cases and the economic recovery from the virus-caused crisis mount.

President of the United States Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Raphael Bostic warned the country's economy may face uneven recovery, while Fed Vice Chairman Richard Clarida said there is still a "long way to go" before it completely bounces back from the crisis, claiming that additional fiscal and policy measures are likely to be needed.

The Dow went down by 0.62% at 2:27 pm ET, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 weakened 0.73% and 0.78% at the same time, respectively. The euro rose 0.54% against the dollar, selling at 1.17800 a minute later.
