Thursday, 22. October 2020 14:19

Shares on the major stock market indexes in the United States turned mostly flat ahead of the session's start on Thursday after having traded in the negative territory in the premarket, as the investors shrugged off some of the worries caused by the coronavirus pandemic's second wave.

The traders will keep an eye on the initial jobless claims data, and the report on the existing home sales in September scheduled for release later in the day.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 both stood flat at 8:17 am ET, while the Nasdaq 100 rose by 0.16% a minute later. The euro dropped 0.33% versus the dollar, selling for $1.18208 at 8:20 am ET.
