Holzmann doesn't rule out ECB might use new policy tools

Governor of Austria’s central bank, Robert Holzmann, said on Thursday that he couldn't rule out the possibility that the European Central Bank might implement new policy tools.

Holzmann claimed that there are indications for sustainable economic recovery from the third quarter of the next year, adding that, while he sees asset bubble risk, there are no actual bubbles yet.

The ECB's Financial Stability Review previously noted that the European Union economy wouldn't return to pre-crisis levels before 2022, while GDP growth should be expected in 2023.
