US mostly flat in premarket ahead of Fed chair's speech

Equities in the United States traded mostly lower in the premarket on Friday ahead of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's newest remarks on the current state of the country's output.

Earlier, the White House commented there is no official timeline to pass President Joe Biden's proposed economic agenda. Meanwhile, Senators Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Bernie Sanders of Vermont reportedly had a heated discussion about how much the Democrats' budget reconciliation bill should be worth.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 both stood flat at 4:30 am ET. On the other hand, the Nasdaq 100 lost 0.36%. The euro rose by 0.16% against the dollar to sell for $1.16426 at 4:28 am ET.
